Hi, I’m Derek.

On my farm, Orthridge Jerseys, in Fennimore, Wisconsin, I raise Jersey cattle and grows corn, alfalfa and cover crops. My family’s farming history goes back at least four generations, and I considers myself a farmer from birth. I am a former Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee chair and former WFBF Dairy Committee Chair. I currently serve on the Grant County Farm Bureau board of directors. In addition, I am a member of various agriculture, youth and community organizations. On the national level, I was chair of the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Leadership Conference subcommittee and a member of the Partners of Advocacy Leadership (PAL) Class 10. My wife, Charisse, and I have two children, Zeeva (6) and Jaylee (3). If you’re looking for a fun, engaging presentation, I’m your guy!
